Dr. Nina Returns to more ' Finally!' Moments!
One of my finally moments as a pastor’s wife was when I got the revelation that God chose me. Not only that, He anointed me, appointed me and approved me; and, consequently, I did not need to seek the approval of man. I received this wonderful revelation several years ago when I was attending a conference at another church. The person who was ministering the Word gave an altar call at the end of his message. The call was for those who struggled with feelings of inadequacy to come to the altar and allow God to take those feelings away. I knew that I had struggled for so long with feelings of inadequacy, and I would constantly seek man’s approval. I felt like I just did not measure up. I knew that I had to respond to the altar call, because I desperately desired to be free of those feelings that had plagued me for so long. I remember getting up out of my seat, not caring what anyone thought of me, and taking that seemingly long walk to the altar. When I got to the altar, it was at that moment that the light came on. I received the powerful revelation from a verse of Scripture that I had read many times. It was in John 15:16 where Jesus said to His disciples, "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you….” I realized that, first of all, GOD chose me. Imagine that – the God of the universe, Creator of all the earth chose ME. He saw something of worth and value in me. Not only that but He ordained me. He appointed me to do a work for Him. God does not appoint anyone to do anything without first anointing them. Right there at that altar I realized that God chose me, and that I was anointed, appointed and approved by Him as well. That empowering revelation produced a lasting revolution. FINALLY, I no longer sought man’s approval because I was accepted in the Beloved, and my feelings of inadequacy ceased. I was free of feelings that had plagued me for so many years. I was free to be me and to confidently operate in the anointing that God had given me. FINALLY!  Our 2010 Lady Who Leads Award

"Finally!" I realized that there is a time and or season foreverything!
Some may focus on it being their turn but it was revealed unto me that it was my time. I came into a time where I understood who I was in Christ. I then recognized and understood the divine call and charge on my life. With that in mind, I considered that an indication of a moment, a point, a period or a phase but turn is an indication of a chance, a shot or a try announces, indicates or identifies eternal things. Turn announces, indicates or identifies temporal things. Without a shadow of a doubt, I then recognized that finally it was time to make a difference in the live of others by being a light in dark places, teaching the word of God, giving the report that we can all believe and have hope in, and by revealing, unveiling, releasing and making known the character of Christ in my everyday life! Finally I could leave something that would out live me for generations to come.

The most recent "Finally" moment that I have experienced came this past October. I attended a weekend retreat that changed my heart and mind which in turn changed my life.
For a few years I had found myself frustrated with my husband over the "division of repsonsibilities" in our home throughout an eventful season in our lives. We have three children and I began teaching at the school that my children attend. My husband and I planted a church over the past seven years as well. I kept wondering when my husband would recognize all that I was doing and that something would change to make things different. Little did I know that what needed to change was me!
I realized my wonderful husband has an assignment from God and that my assignment was to support him in every way possible. The funny thing was that I thought I had been doing them. The finally moment was hearing the voice of God through Dr. Nina Bronner as she expressed this thought with a richness and texture in her voice that I had never heard before ... "Not only can you serve your husband but, you can do it with gladness of heart" and I thought ...Wow my heart needs to change! I need to remember the heart of a servant. My heart was changed I repented of my selfishness and things have never been the same...Finally!

My recent finally moment happened last thanksgiving. Both of my kids birthdays are near the thanksgiving holiday (the 25th and the 26th). Both my husband and I found ourselves in one the worst financial storms ever. It was thanksgiving and I had no money! I had to believe God in a way that I hadn't before. Well what do you think happened? God sent money from everywhere! I was astonished to see such miracles transpire before my very eyes! I FINALLY got it! God would always be there for me. No matter how big or small the need. For those of you who don't get it. I was brought up with the notion not to depend on others. For many years I thought I had to do it all. God let me see in those few days how ridiculous I had been and how good he would always be. Why did I accept the invitation to speak at this year's conference? Because I love and respect Lady "K" and Thy Will Ministries. Keep up the good work girl!

Finally, accepted my ordained Destiny…… I have always had faith and lived on Proverbs 3:5 &6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all thy ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.” However, when faced with my brother (my only sibling), my father, and my mother all going home to be with the Lord within five years. Though surrounded by people, I felt all alone in this world and had to wonder what God was doing with me. It came to me finally…. This testing was to show me that God is ALL that I will ever need. He has made me stronger in him. He has supplied all of my needs according to his riches in glory. He has shown me his ordained Destiny for my life if I submit to him completely. With the multiplicity of responsibilities that rest upon me, it is very easy to become consumed in the day-to-day operations. But, in my FINALLY moment, the Lord reminded me that HIS desire is for me to have life, and life more abundantly! So, in short, I have FINALLY learned how to make time for "ME" TIME!
